Another forum, another great experience. A great group of folks who are concerned for children and for the community. All candidates were present and we were all treated graciously. We sang the national anthem, pledged allegience to the flag and John Paul Eddy (a Kiwanis member and candidate for Council At-Large, Place 5) led the prayer in which he gave thanks for the food & fellowship and prayed for all the candidates.

John Paul Eddy, Justin Bell (candidate for Mayor) and I are all newcomers to the political landscape here and we have been treated with respect and dignity at these forums and treated as equals with our opponents. This is truly the greatest country on earth - any citizen can take an active role in shaping the future of their community and be part of the political process.
